About This Index

The ScrapTrade Price Index aggregates anonymised transaction data from completed scrap trades in Australia. Prices reflect actual rates agreed between verified buyers and sellers — not surveys or estimates. Values are in Australian dollars.

Methodology

Average price per unit is the total transaction value divided by verified delivered quantity. The range excludes outliers (top/bottom 10%). Data is refreshed hourly via ISR and covers the selected rolling period.
