How to Use ScrapTrade as a Trader
For professional dealers running regular volume — bulk listing, a full yard management system, and the tools to run daily trading operations from one dashboard.
Bulk Listing via CSV Import
Instead of creating listings one at a time, Import CSV lets you upload a spreadsheet of multiple lots at once — material, quantity, price, and location per row. Useful if you're regularly moving several grades at volume rather than one-off items.
Yard Management (Free, Built In)
This is the biggest tool available to Trader accounts, and it's free — a full point-of-sale and CRM for running an actual scrap yard day to day:
- •Record purchase (INCOMING) and sale (OUTGOING) dockets per transaction, with AI photo-identify to prefill material/grade from a picture.
- •A real inventory ledger tracked by category, material, and grade — not a spreadsheet you update by hand.
- •A customer book with supplier/buyer tags, ID capture for compliance, and a notes/reminders timeline per customer.
- •A price board for what you're currently paying, which pre-fills docket lines automatically.
- •P&L per material, a monthly supplier payouts report with CSV export, and weekly volume charts.
- •"List on Marketplace" turns any inventory row directly into a pre-filled listing draft.
- •Add staff (Operators or Managers) so your team can use the same tools under your yard.
Getting Paid
Connect a payout account under Wallet (Stripe Connect Express) so escrow releases can actually reach your bank account once orders complete. Until that's set up, your earnings sit held in escrow waiting for onboarding to finish — there's no way around connecting a payout account eventually if you're actively selling.
Analytics
Tracks listing views, bid activity, conversion rate, and revenue across everything you've listed — the volume-level view, distinct from the material-level P&L inside Yard Management's Reports.
Verified Trader Tiers
Completing identity and business verification earns badge tiers visible on your public profile and listings — international buyers weigh this heavily when deciding whether to commit to a first order sight-unseen.
